The aspect of upgrading the current system is more cost effective, especially when funding is limited, this would include instrumentation, PLC or Thyristor replacements.

Refurbishments consist of an upgrade to the instrumentation, with potentially a refurbishment of the existing switchgear and a new control system would include an all-new cabinet, switchgear, instrumentation, PLC and Thyristor, along with the latest Technology.
